The other week we had a great multi-cultural opportunity to attend a Vaisakhi festival. It is an annual Sikh celebration that takes place in India, but with the huge influx of immigrants from India currently residing in Canada, we had the chance to experience the festival here. There was food, children's activities, music, dancing, a parade and to top it all off, everything was FREE! That's right, the whole celebration is free to everyone! So to give you an idea, we would be walking the parade route before it started and people would hand you juice, tea, pizza, samosa's, cotton candy, balloons, etc.

Super excited about Vaisakhi!
Also, as we were walking the parade route, we encountered a lot of individuals speaking Pujabi and Hindi, but very few English speakers. It did not feel like North America, but rather closer to the environment of that which we will be surrounded by in only a few short months.
Requests:
Please be lifting up our people: ask that their hearts will be open to recieving the Good News.
