Our Week in Pictures

We were able to take a little "tour" of our city this week. With all of the logistical set up with our house and water we have yet to make our way around some of Kolkata's main attractions.  

We saw the Baptist Church that William Carrey started over 200 years ago

Then we headed to the Kali temple, where thousands of people go to pay homage a false god of destruction.  It was overwhelming.

 

 Next to the Kali Temple is Mother Tereasa's home for the destitute and dying.  We did not go in, but it was cool to see some of that history from the outside.

Bo at a school in a slum talking with the kids in a mixture of Hindi and broken Bangla.  Hudson had fun going to a "day of school".  He pretended he was in school the entire time we were there and joined the kids in learning some letters.

Hard to believe that Baby White #2 will be be making his/her debut in less than a few weeks!

Trust us when we say we are ready for this Baby to come!  Everything is set and we are excited for this new little adventure.

Ami Bangla Jane Na!

"Ami Bangla Jane Na!"  

(A short quick version of Bo's Bangladesh trip)

Bo and George bouncing around Bangladesh.  They had to travel by night some of the time because of nation wide strikes that meant road blocks all day throughout the country.....

Luckily Mountain Dew was still for sale at 3:30m

 Bo was literally dressed by some local taxi drivers who heard he owned a lungi and a gamsa....They didn't want him to leave Bangladesh without knowing how to where the S.W.A.G.!

Things weren't all traveling and goofing around.  Back behind this house, down a trail, there gathered a group of followers who came from miles to learn how to multiply themselves....It was just an awesome opportunity to learn what He is doing!

Watching these men and women spend hours (with no breaks or chairs) learning what it means to be a follower, share their story, and share His story, was awesome!  Lift these people up during your day.  Ask that these people continue to grow deep and spread wide!
